How do I find a specific message in a Skype conversation?
  1. Go to the Skype chat that you want to search.

  2. To search:

    • on Windows, Mac, Linux, Web, Windows 10, and Windows 11 - Select the Find Find button button under the chat header.
      You can also access the find feature from the message box using the key combination Ctrl + F on Windows desktop or Command + F on Mac.

    • on Android (6.0+) , iPhone and iPad - Tap the chat header and tap Search in conversation .

  3. In the search box, type the word or phrase you want to find. The results will appear automatically starting with the most recent message.

  4. Use the up or down chevron buttons to move to the previous or next result.

Searching for a specific word or phrase within a conversation will show results for the previous 6 months.

Searching for a specific word or phrase within a conversation will show 30 results.
