Which numbers and countries can I call?

To call international numbers from Skype, you’ll need to buy a little Skype Credit or a subscription . Learn more about how to dial an international number .

If you have Skype Credit , you can make calls to all standard landlines and mobile numbers in the world, and to some satellite phones (e.g. Inmarsat). To see our great Skype rates and browse our subscriptions, check out the calling rates page .

If you have a subscription , the numbers you can call depend on the number type (landline only, or mobile and landline) and area covered by that subscription. Learn more about how subscriptions work .

Please note:

  • Skype is not a replacement for your telephone.

  • Skype is not a replacement for your telephone and should not be used for emergency calling. There are some circumstances which limited emergency calling is supported over Skype, learn more .

  • Some premium rate numbers, geographic or country-specific numbers (e.g. 1-900 numbers) are not supported by Skype.
