How do I delete a contact in Skype?

Skype on Windows, Mac, Linux, Web, Skype for Windows 10 & 11 (version 15), Android (6.0+), iPhone, and iPad.

To delete a contact:

1. From the Contacts tab, tap and hold or right-click the contact you want to remove.
2. Select Delete contact.
3. In the confirmation window, select Delete contact again. After you delete the contact, they may still be able to see your detailed profile information. Learn more about who can see your profile on Skype.

To delete multiple contacts:

1. From the Contacts tab, hold down the CTRL key (the CMD key on Mac) and select each contact you want to delete. A check mark will appear next to each selected contact.
2. When you're finished selecting contacts, right-click one of the contacts you've selected.
3. Select Delete contacts.
4. In the confirmation window, select Delete contacts again. After you delete the contacts, they may still be able to see your detailed profile information. Learn more about who can see your profile on Skype.

Note: Deleting multiple contacts is not available on Skype for Android, Skype for iPhone, or Skype for iPad. When you delete a Skype contact that is also a contact from your device's synced address book, they will not be deleted on your device, only on Skype.

1. From the Contacts tab, tap and hold on the contact you want to delete.
2. Tap Delete contact. In the confirmation window, tap Delete again.
