How do I assign Skype Numbers to members in Skype Manager™?

This FAQ contains instructions on how to assign Skype Numbers to your members, reallocate Skype Numbers and cancel Skype Numbers assigned to your members.

Assigning Skype Numbers

You can assign Skype Numbers to any Skype user.

To assign Skype Numbers to members or to SIP Profiles:

1. Sign in to Skype Manager.
2. Click Features in the toolbar.
3. In the Features menu on the left, click Skype Numbers to display the Skype Numbers page.
4. Click Allocate Skype Numbers.
5. Check the box next to each member to whom you wish to allocate Skype Numbers. When you select a member, the Allocate Skype Numbers button displays automatically.
6. Click Allocate Skype Numbers to display the Buy Skype Numbers page.
7. Select the country for the Skype Number, then click Continue.
8. Choose the area codes to use for your Skype Number, and specify how you’d like to be billed.
9. Click Buy now.

The Skype Numbers will then be assigned. It may take a few minutes before the Skype Numbers are displayed in Skype Manager and your members can start using them.

Reallocating a Skype Number

To reallocate a Skype Number from one member to another or to a SIP Profile:

1. Sign in to Skype Manager.
2. Click Features in the toolbar.
3. In the Features menu on the left, click Skype Numbers to display the Skype Numbers page.
4. Click in the row displaying the Skype Number that you wish to reassign.
5. Click Reallocate number.
6. In the field displayed, enter the name of the member you want the Skype Number allocated to, then click Confirm.

The Skype Number will be reassigned to the specified member or SIP Profile.

When reassigning a Skype Number, you must ensure that the reallocation is in accordance with the terms you agreed to on purchasing the specific Skype Number.

Cancelling Skype Numbers

To cancel a Skype Number assigned to a member:

1. Sign in to Skype Manager.
2. Click Features in the toolbar.
3. In the Features menu on the left, click Skype Numbers to display the Skype Numbers page.
4. Check the box next to each member for whom you wish to cancel Skype Numbers.
5. Click Cancel Numbers. The Skype Numbers will expire on the dates indicated for each member. No further costs will be incurred.

Important: Skype Numbers are provided “as is,” and their ongoing availability to you is subject to applicable local residency rules and regulatory practices. The terms related to Skype Numbers may change accordingly; such changes may include the imposition or amendment of local residency requirements, and/or require you to provide further user information for continued access to defined Skype Numbers. Such changes may impact your ability to use, purchase and allocate Skype Numbers in the future. The terms that relate to Skype Numbers are clearly displayed within the Skype Number purchase flow, and you need to agree to these prior to proceeding to purchase Skype Numbers.
