How do I send a contact’s details to someone in Skype for Windows desktop?

Sending a contact's details to another person means they can add that contact to their list without having to search for them. It's an easy way to make sure that all your friends are connected on Skype.

You can send contacts in an IM conversation or during a call. 

Sending a contact’s details in an instant message

  1. In your Contacts or Recent list, select the contact or group you want to share another contact’s details with.
  2. In the chat text box, click the Send contacts icon. You might need to click the paperclip to see it:



 

 

  1. Check the box next to the contact or contacts you want to send. You can start typing the person's name to find them more quickly.
  1. Click Send contacts
 

Sending a contact’s details during a call

You can send a contact’s details to a person or group during a voice or video call.

  1. During the call, click the + button and select Send Contacts....

  2. Check the box next to the contact or contacts you want to send. You can start typing the person's name to find them more quickly.

  3. Click Send.
