What’s new in Skype 6.9 for Mac OS X?

Download the latest version of Skype for Mac OS X to enjoy the following new features:

Application window sharing

With Skype 6.9 for Mac OS X, you can enjoy screen sharing in even more useful and creative ways.

For example, you can choose to share the entire screen or only a specific application window. This can be helpful when you need to share something with your contact, but you’re doing something personal on your Mac.

To share a specific window rather than your entire screen, first start the screen sharing as you would normally do. Then:

  1. Click the down arrow next to Share your entire screen.
  2. From the drop-down menu that opens, select Share a window.
  3. Choose the window you’d like to share and click it.
  4. Click Start.

Searching for your Address book contact phone numbers

If you’ve saved multiple phone numbers for your Mac’s Address Book contact, you can easily search for them using the improved search feature in Skype 6.9.

Simply start typing your contact’s name into the Search field and you’ll see all saved phone or mobile numbers of that contact in the search result.

Skype full accessibility in Voice Over

Skype 6.9 for Mac is now even more accessible. All widgets are labeled for Voice Over and it's now easier to know who you're having a live call with.
