Instant messaging is an alternative to talking with your friends on Skype – and like Skype-to-Skype calls, it’s completely free. To send an instant message on your Brew phone:

Yes, group instant messaging allows you to send an instant message to multiple contacts at the same time.
To add contacts to an existing instant messaging conversation:

Unfortunately, on Brew phones, you cannot add emoticons to instant messages. We hope to change this in the near future, so be sure to look out for it in future releases.
Your event history contains all your instant messaging, call, voicemail and contact request history, listed in date order. To find your event history, simply go to the Events tab.
New unopened events are shown in bold. Tap on an event to open it and view the details.
Yes, you can rename group instant message conversations to make them easier to indentify in your events list. To do this, simply select the conversation you’d like to rename, press the Options key and select Set Topic.
On a Brew phone, you cannot delete or hide individual instant message conversations. However, you can clear your entire event history. To do this:

To leave a group instant message conversation, simply select the conversation you’d like to leave, press the Options key and select Leave Conversation. Leaving a conversation means you will no longer receive any further instant messages from the group.
No. Sending text messages is not supported by Skype mobile™ on your Brew phone. You can send text messages from your phone using your network text messaging allowance.
