Only one participant needs a Skype Premium account for group video calls.
This FAQ is for customers who are with one of Skype’s mobile partners:
If you are not with one of Skype’s mobile partners, please visit the support homepage and select your device under Skype for Mobile, where you will find help and support for all other Android phones, as well as for iPhone and Symbian.
This FAQ is about the connections that Skype on your au phone will work over.
No, if you are with one of Skype's mobile partners, you will only be able to use Skype over your mobile wireless network. If you attempt to connect while you are only connected to a WiFi network, you will be notified that the application requires you to connect to your mobile wireless network before you can sign in. If you are connected to both WiFi and your mobile wireless network, you will be able to use Skype as normal.
You can use Skype anywhere on your mobile operator’s network. However, the higher the speed of your data connection, the easier it is to sign in to the application, make calls Skype-to-Skype and call landlines and mobiles abroad, and participate in instant messaging conversations.
If you only have 2G coverage, you may find it difficult to sign in to the application. However, if you have already signed in to the application in an area with a higher connection speed, you should be able to continue to make and receive calls as normal in an area with only 2G coverage.
