Can I add a mobile or landline contact to a group conversation in Skype for Mac OS X?

You can add mobile or landline contacts to a group conversation just as you would add any other contact.

Adding a mobile or landline contact to a group can be useful if you are conducting a group call – but you’ll need a little Skype Credit or a subscription to call them. 

However, if you send instant messages during the conversation, the mobile or landline contact will not receive them.

To add a mobile or landline contact before the group conversation starts:

  1. Sign in to Skype.
  2. In the sidebar, click the conversation you wish to add a contact to.
  3. In the conversation pane, click the Add button  and select Add People...
  4. In the Contact picker box that pops up, enter the name of the contact you want to include, and then click their name to add them to the conversation. Repeat for everyone you want to have on the call.

    Alternatively, you can enter the mobile or landline number of the contact you want to add to the conversation and press Return.

  1. After everyone is added, press Return on your keyboard or click Add to close the Contact picker. Now you are ready to start a group call.

To add a mobile or landline contact during a conversation, simply click the Add button and follow the above steps.
