What features does Skype for Symbian support?

Skype for Symbian supports the following features:

  • Skype-to-Skype voice calling
  • Calling mobiles and landlines anywhere in the world (requires Skype Credit or a subscription)
  • Receiving calls to your Skype Number
  • Participating in group call
  • Instant messaging
  • Sending emoticons
  • Sending SMS text messages and setting up sender ID
  • Voice Messaging
  • Call forwarding
  • Sending and receiving files
  • Sending and receiving contact details*
  • Synchronizing Skype status with phone calendar*
  • Updating your mood message to show what you have playing on your Mplayer*

The following features are not currently supported:

  • Video calling
  • Starting a group call

*This feature is only available on the last version of Skype for Symbian (2.0). Skype for Symbian is no longer available for download.
