Skype on your iOS device may be crashing due to compatibility issues with the Skype application and the iOS version you are running on your device.
First, make sure you have the necessary hardware to run the latest version of Skype. It is recommended that you upgrade to the latest version of iOS available for your device and download the newest version of Skype from the Apple App Store.
Download the latest version of Skype for iPhone* or Skype for iPad*.
*Skype is not responsible for the content of external sites.
If you have both the Skype for iPhone and Skype for iPad applications on your iPad, your device may crash. This is only an issue if you're using an iPad.
To delete the Skype for iPhone app:
You can then download the Skype for iPad app from the App Store.
Skype does not support jailbroken iOS devices, and Skype is not responsible for errors or crashes which result from modifications to iOS.
