Why can’t I sign in to Skype for Mac OS X after upgrading?

We advised our Skype for Mac OS X customers to upgrade to the latest version of Skype. Some of you who have upgraded to Skype 5.0 or higher won’t be able to sign in because Skype 5.0 and higher runs on Intel-based systems, with Leopard*, Snow Leopard or Lion operating systems installed.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

To get back up and running with Skype, you can visit the download page and click Download now.

The download page displays a compatible version of Skype for Mac OS X for your system.

* Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard doesn’t support Skype for Mac 6.4 and higher.
