This FAQ is for customers who are with one of Skype’s mobile partners:
If you are not with one of Skype’s mobile partners, please visit the support homepage and select your device under Skype for Mobile, where you will find help and support for other Android phones, as well as for iPhone and Symbian.
Adding someone as a Skype contact allows you to call them Skype-to-Skype and instant message them for free. You can also add mobile and landline numbers as contacts, and call them using your Skype Credit or subscription.
The following questions and answers will help you add new contacts to your contact list, and help you manage the contacts you have.
The contact will appear offline in your contact list until they accept your request. After that, you will be able to see their status, call them Skype-to-Skype and instant message them.
Adding a mobile or landline number to your contact list makes it easier to call from your Skype account as you won’t have to enter the number every time. Remember, you’ll need a little Skype Credit or a subscription to call mobile or landline numbers.

To add a phone number to your contact list:
You can see the phone number in your contact list immediately and you can call it at any time, as long as you have enough Skype Credit or an appropriate subscription.
Importing contacts will copy mobile and landline numbers abroad from your Brew phonebook into your Skype contact list, making it easier to call them from Skype. Remember, you’ll need a little Skype Credit or a subscription to call mobile or landline numbers.

To import phonebook contacts to your contact list:
You can see the imported contact in your contact list immediately and you can call it at any time, as long as you have enough Skype Credit or an appropriate subscription.
Profiles display a contact’s mood message, birth date, country and other information that they’ve chosen to share on Skype.
To view a contact’s profile:
As the profile information belongs to that contact, it can only be edited by them. Others can only view it.
You can block a contact to prevent them from contacting you. If you block a contact, they will no longer be able to call you Skype-to-Skype, instant message you or see when you are online.
To block a contact:
To unblock a contact, repeat the process. If a contact has been blocked, then Block this contact will be replaced by Unblock this contact.
Deleting a contact will remove them from your contact list. To do this:
Deleting a contact won’t prevent them from contacting you entirely. To make ensure you receive no further contact with them through Skype, you should also block them.
