How do I edit my Skype profile, mood message and status on my au phone?

This FAQ will help you set up your profile, mood message and status using Skype on your mobile phone.

How do I set my status?

Your status lets your Skype contacts know whether you are available for a conversation. Your contacts will see your status next to your name in their contact list.

The contact is online and free to talk.
The contact is online, but away from Skype, so they might not pick up.
The contact is online, but busy, so you may want to try them later.

To set your status on your Android/Brew phone:

Android:

  1. Sign in to Skype.
  2. On the main page, tap your current status icon in the top right of the screen:

Brew:

  1. Sign in to Skype.
  2. On to the main menu, tap Status. You will see the main menu when you first sign in. If you have already selected another tab, use the phone’s back button to return to the main menu.
  3. Choose from one of the following statuses:
  4. Tap Save to set it.

How do I edit my profile?

In your profile, you can add personal information about yourself to share on Skype. This includes information such as your birthday, your age and the country you live in. You can also add your mobile, office and home phone numbers to your profile to make it easier for your contacts to call you from Skype.

To edit your profile on your Android/Brew phone:

Android:

  1. Sign in to Skype.
  2. From the main menu, tap Profile. You will see the main menu when you first sign in. If you have already selected another tab, tap  to return to the main menu.
  3. Tap the Edit Profile tab.
  4. Edit your profile details, and when you’re finished, tap OK.

Brew:

  1. Sign in to Skype.
  2. In the main menu, tap My Info. You will see the main menu when you first sign in. If you have already selected another tab, use the phone’s back button to return to the main menu.
  3. Tap Edit My Profile.
  4. Edit your profile details, and when you’re finished, tap Save.

How do I edit my mood message?

A mood message lets your contacts know how you’re feeling, what you’re thinking or what you’re up to. It’s also a great way to share links to websites, videos and music.

To edit your mood message on your Android/Brew phone:

Android:

  1. Sign in to Skype.
  2. At the top of the main menu, type your new mood message in the space available and tap Share. If you have already selected another tab, tap  to return to the main menu.
  3. Tap your mood message to change it.

Brew:

  1. Sign in to Skype.
  2. In the main menu, tap My Info. You will see the main menu when you first sign in. If you have already selected another tab, use the phone’s back button to return to the main menu.
  3. Tap Mood message.
  4. Type your mood message and tap OK to display it.
