Help Windows Desktop

What is the Microsoft Bing Bar?

The Microsoft Bing Bar is a browser tool bar that gives you easy access to Facebook, your email, the weather and more - all with a single click.

The Bing Bar is installed automatically when you install Skype 5.8 for Windows desktop. However, if you do not wish to install the toolbar, simply un-check the box and click Continue.

You can disable the Bing Bar in Internet Explorer at any time - just go to Tools > Manage Add-ons > Toolbars and Extensions, select Bing and click Disable.

To uninstall the Bing Bar:

  1. Click Start > Control Panel.
  2. Windows XP: Add or Remove Programs.
Windows Vista and 7: Uninstall a program.
  3. Select Bing and click Uninstall.
