Calling mobiles and landlines with Skype 3.2 for Android

Have you downloaded Skype and joined us? Then you’re ready to get calling.

Make low cost calls to mobiles and landlines from Skype 3.2 for Android phones. All you need is a little Skype Credit or a subscription. Use the dial pad to enter a phone number, or call a number from your contact's profile when they are offline in Skype.

Calling a number using the dial pad

To call a number using the dial pad:

  1. Sign in to Skype.
  2. Tap Call phones.
  3. Tap the flag icon to select a country code.
  4. Enter a phone number using the dial pad, then tap the green Call button.

Calling a contact’s mobile or landline number

To call a contact on their mobile or landline:

If a contact has a phone number attached to their profile, or if you have added a number to a contact, then it’s easy to call them when they’re not on Skype.

To call a Skype contact’s mobile or landline:

  1. Sign in to Skype.
  2. Tap Contacts.
  3. Tap the contact you want to call and select Voice call.
  4. Select either the landline or mobile number icon.

If these options are not available, it means the contact does not have a landline or mobile number attached to their profile. To call them, enter their number using the dial pad, or make a Skype call.
