Have you downloaded Skype and joined us? Then you’re ready to get calling.

To make a call to a mobile or landline, first you need to have some Skype Credit or a subscription.

    To call a number:

    1. Sign in to Skype.
    2. Tap the Call phones tab and tap the dial pad icon .
    3. To call a number from your iPhone/iPod address book, tap the address book icon  in the right corner of the phone number, then select the contact you wish to call.
    4. If you don't have the number saved in your iPhone/iPod contact list, enter the number you’d like to call, then tap the blue call button. To change the country code, tap the country and select the one you want from the list. In the latest version of Skype, when you start typing a phone number in the dial pad, Skype will show contacts that match the number you're typing (as well as numbers you've called recently), making it faster to find who you want to talk to.
    5. Once you've entered a phone number, you will have the option to save it by tapping the Save phone number button. You can also find recently called phone numbers in your Recent tab, and you can call or SMS them from there, too.

To call a Skype contact on their mobile or landline:

    1. Sign in to Skype.
    2. Type the name of the contact you wish to call in the Search Skype window.  Alternatively you can tap on the Contacts tab or scroll down in your conversation list to find the most recent conversation with that person.
    3. Tap the contact, then tap the Call icon, then select the number you wish to call.

This only works if your contact has a mobile or landline number attached to their Skype profile. If you don’t see a number available, use the dial pad to enter the phone number.
