To call a number using the dial pad:

  1. Sign in to Skype.
  2. Tap Call phones (in Skype 5 for iOS, tap the dial pad icon ).
  3. Enter the number you’d like to call, then tap the green call button. To change the country code, tap the country and select the one you want from the list. In the latest version of Skype, when you start typing a phone number in the dial pad, Skype will show contacts that match the number you're typing (as well as numbers you've called recently), making it faster to find who you want to talk to.

  4. Once you've entered a phone number, you will have the option to save it by tapping the Save phone number button. You can also find recently called phone numbers in your recent list, and you can call or SMS them from there, too.

To call a contact on their mobile or landline:

  1. Sign in to Skype.

  3. Tap a contact to view their profile.
  4. Tap Voice Call, then select the number you want to call (in Skype 5 for iOS, tap the call icon , then select the number you want to call).

This only works if your contact has a mobile or landline number attached to their Skype profile. If you don’t see a number available, use the dial pad to enter the phone number.

To call a contact from your iPhone Contacts/iPod Contacts:
