I have a problem paying with Pay by mobile…

Pay by mobile is a payment method that allows you to pay for Skype Credit using only your mobile phone number and the charges will be simply added to your mobile phone bill.

Pay by mobile is currently available in Russia.

The following questions and answers will help you with problems you’re experiencing when making your purchase with Pay by mobile:

Why isn’t Pay by mobile available?

At the moment, Pay by mobile is only available in the countries listed above. If you’ve selected a country that is not supported, you need to choose a different payment method.

The payment method can sometimes be temporarily unavailable. In that case, we recommend you to try again later or choose a different payment method.

Why do I receive an error message when entering the required details?

When the details you entered are not correct, you’ll receive an error message. Follow the suggestions below to resolve the issue:

  • Check the phone number you entered. It must contain digits only, with no spaces. Try entering the number in the correct format.
  • Make sure your mobile phone operator supports Pay by mobile. If it doesn’t, you need to choose a different payment method.
  • Make sure you entered the correct verification code. It’s the one that’s been sent to your mobile phone.

Why haven’t I received the verification code?

If you haven’t received the verification code:

  • Make sure you can receive SMS text messages on your phone. If not, try to use a different mobile number or an alternate payment method.
  • Make sure there’s no issue on the carrier’s end.
  • You may have entered an incorrect mobile phone number for receiving the verification code. Click Use a different number and follow the instructions.

  • If the phone number you entered is correct, click Resend code to +X XXXXXXXXXX and then enter the 4 digit code again. The verification code will be sent to the same number.

Why did my payment fail?

If your payment failed, you may have run over the purchase limits in your Skype account. If you exceeded your purchase limits, your best bet is to try again later.

Your payment may have failed by a problem on the payment provider’s end, or you have insufficient funds on your mobile phone number. Try the payment again later, respectively choose another payment method.
