How do I link my Microsoft Office account with my Skype account?

When you link your Microsoft Office 365 Home or Office 365 Personal account with your Skype account, you can enjoy 60 minutes of free calls to mobiles and landlines every month, in more than 60 countries worldwide.

To link your accounts and activate your subscription:

    1. Sign in to Office with your Microsoft account.
    2. In the Services and products section, under Skype, click Activate your Skype minutes. The activation page is displayed.
    3. In the activation page:
      - If you already have a Skype account, select Activate and sign in to your account.
      - If you don’t have a Skype account, click Create Skype account under New to Skype? and follow the instructions to join Skype.
    4. After you sign in to Skype, it takes a few minutes to activate your Skype minutes. When the activation is complete, the message “Your Skype minutes are ready” displays at the top of the My Account screen.

That's it – you're ready to make calls from Skype on any device using your Skype minutes subscription.

The message "Your Skype minutes have been deactivated" displays at the top of the My account screen. Your accounts are now unlinked.
    2. Follow the steps at the top of this article to activate your Skype minutes and link your Office account with the correct Skype account.

Just sign in to your Skype account. In the subscriptions section, under Skype minutes for Office, you’ll see how many minutes you've used and have remaining.

The Skype minutes subscription is available only with Office 365 Home and Office 365 Personal accounts. It is not included in the Office 365 Education or business accounts.

Yes. Skype lets you benefit from all your subscriptions and uses them in the following order:

    • By plan type – unlimited subscriptions are used first, and limited ones are used afterwards.
    • By expiry date – subscription minutes with the nearest expiry date are used first.

With Skype minutes, you can make calls to over 60 countries.

The subscription does not cover calls to non-geographic numbers or special numbers, and you can't make emergency calls with Skype.

You can use Skype minutes to make calls from any country in the world except the following: Algeria, Bahrain, China, Egypt, India, Korea, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Namibia, Pakistan, Qatar, Taiwan, Tunisia and United Arab Emirates.

Unused minutes expire at the end of each month, so make sure you use them up.
