How do I update my status, mood message and profile in Skype for Android phones?

How do I set my status?

You can choose if you want your contacts to see you available to have a conversation or not. There are two statuses available in Skype for Android phones:

  • Available: You are available for a conversation.
  • Invisible: You can work with Skype but your contacts will see you are offline.
If you don't use Skype for a while, your status will automatically be set to away.

To set your status:

  1. Sign into Skype

  2. Tap the phone's menu button or tap the menu icon .

  3. Select either Available or Invisible

How do I edit my mood message?

A mood message lets your contacts know how you’re feeling, what you’re thinking or what you’re up to. It’s also a great way to share links to websites, videos and music.

To set or edit your mood message:

  1. Sign into Skype.
  2. Tap the phone's menu button or tap the menu icon .
  3. Tap Mood Message on the profile page.
  4. Enter a new mood message or edit the old one and tap the confirmation icon The confirmation icon..  

How do I change my profile picture?

Your profile picture is the picture that your Skype contacts can see as a part of your profile. You can easily change it any time you want:

  1. Sign into Skype. 
  2. Tap the phone's menu button or tap the menu icon 
  3. From your profile, tap on top of your profile picture. 
  4. Select from the options displayed:
    • Choose from Gallery: select a picture from your Android phone gallery.
    • Take picture: take a picture using your phone’s camera to use as your Skype profile picture.
    • Clear picture: remove your profile picture so it is no longer displayed to anyone on Skype.
