Can I continue using 3rd party applications for broadcasting Skype calls when changes are made to the Desktop API?
Update: You may have recently noticed a message in Skype regarding changes to your broadcast solution built on the Desktop API.
The message in the Skype client is displayed because this application uses a technology called the Desktop API.
As communicated in this blog post, due to technology improvements we are making to the Skype experience, some features of the API will stop working with Skype for desktop. For example, delivery of chat messages using the API will cease to work. However, we are happy to share that we will be extending support for call recording – until we determine alternative options or retire the current solution. Please continue to use your application as you normally would with Skype.
