How do I create a new account for Skype?

If you don't have a Skype or Microsoft account:

On the Skype sign in screen, select Create new account (or go directly to the Create an account page).
We'll take you through the process of creating a new account for Skype.

How do I use my Microsoft account to sign in to Skype?

If you already have a Microsoft account, but don't have a Skype account:

On the Skype sign in screen, in the Skype name, email or mobile field, type your Microsoft account email and select Sign in.
Enter your password and select the sign in arrow.
We'll ask you if you already have a Skype account. Select No and we'll take you through the process of setting up your new Skype account.
