What's new with group video calling?
Skype is now offering group video calling free to all users. Group video calling allows you to have group video calls with up to 9 of your friends at the same time, and this great feature was previously only offered with a Premium subscription. Read on to see what this change means for you.
What happened to Skype Premium?
Skype Premium has been discontinued. If you want to make calls to mobiles and landlines at great low rates, check out our many subscription options.
What happens if I had a Premium Group Video calling subscription?
If you already paid for a group video calling subscription, don't worry. If you had a one-month subscription, you will not be charged for the rest of the year, and you will continue to enjoy your premium features until your subscription expires.
If you had a 3 or 12 month subscription, your Skype account will be adjusted based on the amount of time your subscription has left (if you have at least one month remaining). Please check your MyAccount page for details.
Please note that you don't need to cancel your subscription to stop being charged in either case described above; the subscription will not auto-renew, and no further payment will be taken.
What happens if I had a Premium Group Video calling plus Unlimited One Country calling subscription?
If you had the Premium Group Video Calling plus Unlimited One Country subscription: 1, 3 or 12 month plan, we will update your subscription automatically to the Unlimited World calling plan (at your next renewal) which includes 60+ countries.
What if I want to cancel my subscription?
As with any other subscription, you can cancel at your subscription renewal date.
