Help Windows Phone

Why am I being asked for permissions when installing Skype for Windows Phone?

When you update Skype for Windows Phone to version 2.22, you will get a Windows Store message that the app requires additional permissions from you before it installs.

This permission is required to make use of the location sharing feature in the latest version of Skype. All Windows Phone apps that provide similar features require you to provide the same permission.

Your location data will only be used if you turn on this feature through your Skype settings. But you can update Skype and enjoy the benefits of the latest version and leave the feature turned off if you want. In that case, we won’t make use of your location data.
