We're bringing Skype and Microsoft accounts together.
If you already have a Microsoft account, we recommend updating it with your Skype account. This lets you access Skype, Office, Xbox and other Microsoft services with a single sign-in and gives your Skype account the same level of protection as your Microsoft account. If you don’t have a Microsoft account, you’ll need to add a verified email address to your Skype account. This makes it easier to get back into your account if you forget your password and allows you to protect your account with two factor authentication. Please note that you can only update your Skype account to a Microsoft account once.
Note: Remember that your Skype password won't work anymore. You will use your Microsoft account password, even when you sign into Skype.
If you encounter any issues, please continue to Issues updating your Skype and Microsoft accounts.
