Skype is fully integrated with Outlook.com and cannot be turned off. We have received customer feedback that people would like the ability to turn off Skype and we’re working on adding this feature – watch this space.
In the meantime, you can customize notification settings for incoming Skype calls and chat notifications in Outlook.com, turning notifications and sounds on or off.
- Select
Settings. - Select View all Outlook settings.
- Select General, then select Notifications.
- Under Chat and call section, under When a new chat arrives and When an incoming call arrives, select the button next to Do nothing to turn these notifications off.
