    How do I take a photo in Skype on mobile?

    Follow the steps below that match your version of Skype. 

    iOS and Android (6.0+)

    If you have...

    • A Camera tab at the bottom
     

    Android 4.0.3 - 5.1

    If you have...

    • A Camera button in a chat window
    Camera tab iOS and Android 6.0 and above   Camera button in chat Android 4.0 - 5.0
    1. Tap the Camera tab or from a chat, tap the Camera button to take a photo or video. You can turn the flash on or off on your mobile device by tapping the Flash Flash button button. You can also switch between front and back cameras using the switch camera Switch camera icon button, then take your photo.
    2. Save your new photo to your device by tapping the Download Download iconbutton. When you go to the Camera button in a specific chat, you will share directly to that chat. When you go to Camera tab, you can share to any chat and to your Highlights in Skype.
     
    1. From a chat, tap the Camera button to take a photo or video. You can turn the flash on or off on your mobile device by tapping the Flash Flash button button. You can also switch between front and back cameras using the switch camera Switch camera icon button, then take your photo.
    2. Tap the Send button to share the photo directly to that chat. Or tap the X to delete the photo and take another.
