How do I change my presence status in Skype?

    Back to search results
    1. From Chats, select your profile picture.
    2. Tap or click on your current presence status.
    3. Select one of the following status options:

      • Active - Let your contacts know you're available and ready to chat.
      • Away - Let your contacts know you may be unavailable. This automatically sets after you've been inactive for one hour or more but can be turned on anytime.
      • Do not disturb - Let your contacts know you don't want to be disturbed. They can still send you an instant message or call but you won't be alerted.

        • To receive notifications when your presence is set to Do not disturb:

          1. From Chats, select your profile picture.
          2. Select Settings gear icon Settings.
          3. Select notifications button Notifications.
          4. Under Do not disturb toggle Show chat notifications on.
      • Invisible - Hides your presence indicator from others but they will see the last time you were set to Active or Do not disturb.
Tip: For Skype on desktop you can also quickly access these status options by clicking the small presence button attached to your profile picture.
