How do I block or report someone in Skype on mobile or tablet?

    Back to search results

You can block a contact to prevent them from calling you, sending you instant messages and seeing your state in Skype.  In addition to blocking a contact, you can also choose to report them for abuse - this notifies us of spammers, so we can stop them in the early stages of their activity.

Android (6.0+), Android tablet, iPhone, and iPad

    1. From Chats, find the contact you want to block.
    2. Tap and hold their name, tap Block and then...
      • Block them without reporting abuse: Tap Block again.
      • Block them and report abuse: Toggle Report abuse from this person on, select a reason, and then tap Block again.
Once the contact is blocked, they will be removed from your Chats and contact list.

    Android mobile 4.0.3 - 5.1

    1. From Chats, find the contact you want to block.
    2. Tap their name, and then...
      • Block them without reporting abuse: Tap the menu Menu button Android 4.0.3 button, and tap Block contact
      • Block them and report abuse: Tap the menu Menu button Android 4.0.3 button, toggle Report abuse from this person on, select a reason, and then tap Block.
Once the contact is blocked, they will be removed from your Chats and contact list.

You can unblock contacts if you ever want to start receiving calls or messages from them again.
