    How do I find a photo I sent or received in Skype?

    Skype for Windows, Mac, Linux, Web, and Skype for Windows 10 (version 14)

    1. While in a conversation, select the Gallery gallery button button under the Chat or Group header.
    2. Within the Gallery you can view any images, files, or links that have been shared.
    3. Select the one you want to open.   
     

    Skype on Android (6.0+), Android tablet, iPhone, and iPad

    1. While in a conversation, select the Add-in Add-in button button and select Media.

      Alternatively, from the Chats screen, tap and hold on an individual chat and tap View profile or tap and hold on a group chat and select Manage group In the profile, then scroll down and select the Chat or Group Gallery
    2. Within the Gallery you can view any Media Gallery Media button, Web links Gallery Web Link button or Files Gallery files button that have been shared.
    3. Select the one you want to open.
     

    Note: The Gallery is not available on Skype for Android 4.04 - 5.1.

    Skype for Windows, Mac, Linux and Skype for Windows 10 (version 14)

    Right-click the photo, file or link, where you can:

    • For photos, files or links you've received; Copy, Save to "Downloads", Save as..., Forward, Select Messages, Unread from here or Report. You can't remove a photo that's been sent to you. 
    • For photos, files or links you've sent; Copy, Save to "Downloads", Save as...Forward, Select Messages or Remove.
     

    Skype for Web

    Right-click the photo, file or link, where you can:

    • For photos, files or links you've received; SaveForward, Select Messages, Unread from here or Report. You can't remove a photo that's been sent to you. 
    • For photos, files or links you've sent; Open in new tabForward, Select Messages or Remove.
     

    Skype on Android (6.0+), Android tablet, iPhone, and iPad

    1. Go to your Skype chat.
    2. Tap and hold on the photo, file or web link.
    3. Select from the list of menu options. Example: SaveForward, or Report.
     

    Change how your web links open

    You can also control how a shared web link opens from your Skype chat. To change your link to open in a browser instead of inside Skype:

    1. Tap your profile picture.
    2. Tap Settings button Settings.
    3. Tap Messaging button Messaging.
    4. Toggle Web links open in Skype on or off.
