How do I find new contacts in the new Skype on desktop?

Select Search Skype.
Type the name, Skype name or email of the person you want to chat with.
Select your friend from the search results and you'll be taken to a conversation window.
Type a message to your contact and select the Send button.

You will only be able to send up to 10 messages to them and images will be blurred until they accept your request.

Note: To save a PSTN contact, open the dialpad, and call the phone number you want to save. After the call, right-click the number in your chat list, select View profile, and then select Add on Skype.

How do I find contacts not on Skype?

Do you have a friend who's not on Skype? No worries, Skype makes it convenient to invite anyone to chat.

Select the Contacts button.
Select Invite People to Skype.
We will open an email for you with your invitation and join link. The link is unique, it can be shared with up to 10 people for a limited time.

How do I filter my contacts in the new Skype?

Select the Contacts button.
In the Contacts window, you can choose the All, Skype or Active Now tabs.
- All - Displays all of your contacts.
- Skype - Displays only those contacts that are signed in with their Skype account.
- Active Now - Displays only contacts that are online.
