Skype stores files and photos you've shared, calls you've recorded, and other items for easy access across all of your devices.
However, each item has a different length of time that it's available in your chat history:

Learn more about exporting your chat history or files. Keep in mind that any items that have been deleted by you and your contact will no longer be available in your chat history or to export.
*Messages, videos, video messages, and pictures are available until they are deleted or dated back to April 2017 and chat titles until deleted or users leave conversations.
