How do I redeem my Skype voucher?

Skype vouchers are electronic Skype Credit vouchers sold in various retail outlets. You can use them to top up your Skype Credit.

The following questions and answers will help you redeem your Skype voucher:

How do I redeem my Skype voucher?

  1. Sign in to your account.
  2. In the center of the account page, click Redeem voucher.
  3. Enter your voucher number. It can be found on the electronic voucher receipt that you received at the store.

    A box below Type in the unique number from your voucher or card in the Redeem voucher page.

  4. Tick the box next to I agree to the Skype Terms of Service, then click Redeem voucher or prepaid card. Your Skype Credit balance should be updated within 15 minutes.

If you purchased your Skype Voucher online, you will receive an email with your voucher code. Click the voucher redemption link and you’ll be redirected to the Redeem voucher page. The voucher number in the Redeem voucher page will be filled in automatically. If the email doesn’t contain a voucher redemption link, you’ll need to enter your redemption code manually.

How do I redeem my voucher in different currencies?

Anyone with a Skype account can redeem a Skype voucher anywhere in the world. We will convert the value of the voucher to the currency of the Skype account the voucher is redeemed against.

If you have bought a Skype voucher in a different currency than your Skype account is registered in, the voucher amount will be converted to your currency when the value is deposited into your account. Due to exchange rate differences, the amount added to your account may vary.

I’m having problems redeeming my voucher. What should I do?

When you're having problems redeeming your voucher, we recommend that you:

  1. Check the date on the voucher to make sure it hasn’t expired.
  2. Make sure that you have entered the voucher number correctly, with no spaces or hyphens.
  3. If you have a Skype Manager voucher, make sure you are redeeming it through Skype Manager. You can’t redeem Skype Manager vouchers on a personal account.
  4. Wait and try again in a few hours or the next day. If you have tried to redeem the voucher a few times, our system may have temporarily suspended your account.

If you still can’t redeem your voucher, you can contact Skype Customer Service with as much information as possible and we’ll help you to solve the issue.
