How do I send and receive photos, videos, and other files in Skype?

  1. Click the contact or conversation you want to send a file to. 
  2. In the chat text box, tap the icon that matches what you want to send, or the action you want to take. Click the paperclip icon to expand the menu options if they aren't already. 

Icons across all Skype versions:

Smile icon = Send an emoticon or Moji
Briefcase icon = Send an existing photo
Camera icon = Take a new photo to send
Video camera icon = Send a video message
Paper icon = Send a file
Pin icon = Share your location
Contact card icon = Share a contact

Already on a call? To send a file, click the plus icon and select Send files
