Can people find me with my phone number in Skype?

If you prefer to make your phone number unsearchable, you can do this at any time.

Disable phone searchability

1. Select your profile picture.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select Contacts, then select Privacy.
4. Select Disable next to your phone number. You can re-enable this option at any time.

Note: You can change or remove your phone number from your Microsoft account, however If your phone number is your primary alias, you'll need to take some additional steps to remove it. Learn more about how to Change the email address or phone number for your Microsoft account.

If you prefer to make the phone number in your Skype profile unsearchable, you can remove it at any time.

Remove the phone number from your Skype profile

1. Sign in to your Skype profile page.
2. Scroll down to Contact details and select Edit profile.
3. Remove the phone number and select Save.

If you prefer to be completely unsearchable, you can also opt out of being visible in Skype search results. Keep in mind that if you opt out of search, this will prevent people you've never chatted with before from being able to find you unless you contact them directly.
