You can now set up Skype To Go numbers for each of your Skype contacts for free. To set up more Skype To Go numbers for other Skype contacts and to call the Skype To Go numbers of your mobile or landline contacts, you’ll need a little Skype Credit or a subscription.
After you’ve set up your Skype To Go contacts and numbers, you’ll be ready to start calling. The following questions and answers will help you get started calling your friends, family and colleagues using your Skype To Go numbers.
Calling one of your Skype To Go contacts couldn’t be easier. Simply call a contact’s Skype To Go number using one of your registered phones and your call will be put straight through. You can find a list of your Skype To Go contacts and numbers in your account.

With Skype To Go, you can call mobiles and landlines abroad while avoiding those hefty international call charges on your phone.
If you call one of your Skype To Go numbers from an unregistered phone, an automated operator will ask you to enter one of your registered phone numbers along with your four-digit PIN. Use the keypad on your phone to enter it.
When entering the registered phone number, you need to include the international country code, for example, 1 (or +1) for the US or 44 (or +44) for the UK.

You can use the Skype To Go number to call your contact in your account. If you set one of your Skype To Go contacts to be a Skype account, it will have next to it.
When you call a contact on their Skype account using Skype To Go, you will only be charged for a local call on your phone. As Skype-to-Skype calling is free, you will not use any of your Skype Credit.
It’s not currently possible to access your voice messages using Skype To Go. However, you can access your voice messages using Skype on your computer.
If you were a Skype To Go customer before October 28, 2010, you can still retrieve your voice messages by calling your old Skype To Go number – the voice menu will give you the option to listen to your voice messages.

If you would like to share your Skype To Go numbers with a member of your family or other trusted people, then you can add their phone number to your registered phone list. Any number on your list will then be permitted to utilize your Skype credit to make calls to your Skype To Go numbers.
If you have been a Skype To Go customer since before October 28, 2010, and have not deleted your Skype To Go account since this date, you will still be able to call your old Skype To Go number.
