Starting April 11th, 2017 if you’re using Skype Lite on Android in India, you and your friends can get free calls to mobiles and landlines when your friends join Skype Lite.
You will get 20 free Skype minutes for each of the first five friends you invite — that's 100 minutes of free Skype calling — and each friend will get 20 minutes. To get the free minutes, your friend must sign in and make Skype Lite their default SMS app.
There are two ways you can invite your friends to try Skype Lite:
Invite multiple friends:
Invite a particular friend:
For you and your friend to get your 20 free Skype minutes, your friend must:
When your friend has completed the above steps, we'll send you both a notification to let you know your minutes have been added to your account. It may take several minutes for the information to appear in your account. To check, go to your Skype Lite profile page and look under My subscriptions.
Yes, you can use the free minutes on any Skype consumer app provided that you sign in using the same Microsoft account you used for Skype Lite.
Sign in to your account to check your subscription's expiry date and see how many minutes you have left. Minutes expire 30 days after activation and cannot be renewed or transferred.
You will still get 20 minutes of free calling even if you already have a subscription or Skype Credit. We always charge the subscription that has the lowest cost per minute first. This means the free 20 minutes you get from us will be used before any existing credit or subscription, because its cost is zero.
The offer is valid until 30th April 2017, or until we reach the offer cap.
