    What are Skype bots and how do I use them in Skype on desktop?

    Chat with a Skype bot for entertainment, games, recipes, planning travel and more.

    To start chatting with a bot:

    Skype on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Skype for Windows 10 (version 14)

    1. Click Search Skype then click Bots.
    2. Choose from the list or search for available Skype bots.

      New bots are added regularly, and availability may differ by region, so be sure to check back often.
    3. To start a conversation with the Skype bot, select Get Started from the bot profile screen.


    Skype for Windows 10 (version 12)

    1. Select the Contacts button.
    2. Select the Bots tab.
    3. Choose from the list or search for available Skype bots.
    4. To start a conversation with the Skype bot, select Get Started from the bot profile screen.

     

    To remove a Skype bot:

    Skype on Windows, Mac, Linux, and Skype for Windows 10 (version 14)

    1. Right click the bot you want to delete.
    2. Select Delete. You can also block a Skype bot if you no longer want to see it in your Chats screen or contact list.


    Skype for Windows 10 (version 12)

    1. Right-click the chat from your recent chat list, and then select View profile.
    2. Select Remove contact
      Alternatively, From your Contacts, right-click on the bot name and select Remove from contacts.
