How do I sign in to Skype for Windows desktop with my Facebook account?

With the latest version of Skype for Windows desktop you can sign in to Skype with your Facebook account and merge your Skype and Facebook accounts. If you're new to Skype, you can easily join us with your Facebook account.

When you download and install the Skype application, you’ll be able to chat with your Facebook friends directly from Skype.

Signing in to Skype with your Facebook account and merging the accounts

It’s easy to sign in to Skype with your Facebook account and merge your accounts. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Start Skype.
  2. Click Sign in with Facebook.

  4. In the Facebook login window, enter your Facebook email and password, then click Log in.

  6. Click Log In with Facebook. If you’d like to sign in to Skype with your Facebook account automatically every time you launch Skype, check the box next to Sign me in when Skype starts.

  8. Click Allow.

If you don’t have a Skype account yet:

  1. Click Get started to sign in with your Facebook account.

  3. Read the Skype’s Terms of Use and click I agree – continue.

You’ve just created a new Skype account and signed in to Skype with your Facebook account by merging them.

If you already have a Skype account:

  1. Click I have a Skype account. Skype will search for a match:
      • If you can see your Skype account in the list of matches, simply click it, enter your Skype account password, then click Sign in.
      • If you cannot see your Skype account in the list or would like to use another account, click Use a different account, then enter your Skype Name and password and click Sign in.
      • If there’s no match, you are redirected to the Skype sign-in window. Just enter your Skype Name and password, then click Sign in.
  2. To merge your Skype and Facebook accounts, click Merge accounts.

            You’re  now signed in to Skype with your Skype and Facebook accounts merged.

Signing in to Skype with your Facebook account

Once you’ve merged your accounts, it’s easy to sign in to Skype with your Facebook account again:

  1. Start Skype.
  2. Click Facebook.
  3. Enter your Facebook email and password, then click Log in.
